Traditions

On Nicole's side of the family every Christmas Eve we have a different theme. This year it was Christmas around the world.
Every family gave a gift, treat, or just told about the traditions of a country.
Nicole's Parents did(ofcourse) the Dominican Republic and gave each family a little dominican doll and a little prize popper and told how the DR celebrates with fireworks.
Ann & Mike did Africa and gave families spices or a sarong kind of thing with a saying on it.
Caroyln & her boys did France and made a yule log. Frank tried to tell us the tradition in French & John translated, it was hilarious.
The Beans told us about Peru and how they don't really celebrate Christmas but really partied it up on New Years.
Gpa & Penny had the US for their country and gave everyone a Mormon Tabernacle Choir CD
David & Brenda's fam did Honduras and made some delicous turkey & gave everyone a little container of sauce.
Kit & Kids told us about Germany's tradition of making gingerbeard houses and we had a decorate the gingerman contest. Gpa Harold & James were the judges. Jake & I made a Ninja Turtle.

Our country was Mexico because I found the cutest story about the poinsettia and then gave each family one.
We played a couple games, guess what's in the stocking & name that Christmas Carol. They both turned out to be fun & more imortant funny!

Then when things started to wind down and we got dried off from being in the hot tub we opened our one gift that Santa dropped off early. Christmas Pajamas!
