The Blizzard

We had a blizzard. It was suppose to be this huge thing, the weather people said it was going to be the worst storm of 2010. They even cancelled all our classes yesterday (score!). Yeah... we had clear skys all day and no snow. When we woke up this morning there was snow on the ground but the sky was.blue again with some fluffy white clouds here and there. I was kind of dusappointed. This storm was going to be ny first official "blizzard." I am thankful it wasn't that bad since I knew a lot of of people traveling for Thanksgiving and I didn't want them to have any trouble.

Out with the old....

The pool where Dax had swim lessons this summer is no more.....
I was pretty shocked as I was walking to my next class and I shed a little sentimental tear. Sure it as definitely old and falling apart but it was the site of Dax's first swim lessons!

Kind of cool to watch! The whole building was demolished within the hour.

I can't wait for the new aquatic center to be done! Its gonna be awesome!
Bring on the new!

Skyfest

Cedar City is nicknamed the Festival City and we have a celebration for just about anything, including Hot Air Balloons! We are pretty close to the park where the balloons are launched and get to see & hear from from our back porch. They launch pretty early so I had to wake Dax up to see the BIG Balloons! He was still rubbing the sleep out of his eyes when we went outside, but when he opened them up you could see the aw come over his face! Wash however did not like them, he barked up a storm, and he usually is not a barker.

The BIG TWO!!!!

On Dax's actual bday we went and played at the man made lake which was a BLAST!(Thought I took pictures but now I can't find them....) and then we had a spur of the moment partay! We ate pizZA! Opened some presents, ate some cupcakes, and watch a movie! It was the perfect recipe for our 2 year old.
He's still wearing his swimsuit and shirt from the lake.....

Iron County Fair

This was last year at the fair
This year at the Iron County Fair

Wow! Dax is ALOT Bigger than he was last year!
We did the petting zoo again, cuz we like animals, we like to pet animals, and we also love FREE things to do, which is was!

Dax only rode the carousel last year, this year he got to ride 2 rides because he's 2!

He drove the boat ALL BY HIMSELF!
He took this task very serious

And Daddy and Dax rode the carousel this year because Mommy and Dax rode it this year.

Maybe next year we'll do 3 rides! Haha!

PizZA!!!!! At The Pie

For Dax's b day we tried to involve things and people that he loved. One of those things is PizZA! And he says it exactly like that pizZA! It has got to be one of the cutest things in the world.
To commemorate this enthusiasm towards the edible circle we ate at The Pie

The PIE!

This Fountain was right next to The Pie. In the winter they turn it into a ice skating rink. Found out when we were leaving that there is no wading...Oops!

We had so much fun visiting with everyone and Dax and EVEN more fun playing with everyone and the water! Thanks to all who celebrated with us!

See Ya L8ter Allig8ter!

Hogle Zoo

Dax loves animals so we thought we would go to Hogle Zoo while we were up North as part of his b-day extravaganza!

We had a ton of fun with this little baby. Dax has been fascinated with Lions ever since.......it's probably just a coincidence though....
