Costa Rica.Day 1

What a trip! And it´s only been 1 day!
We left my parents house at midnight so we could drive all the way to LA to fly out of LAX at 6(when flying internationally you have to arrive 2 hours early.) We got there at 4 and found some good economic long term parking that was no hassle at all. We then hauled our gear onto a shuttle and made our way to the terminal. Things got a little bumpy here but we got through it with minimal damages and got to our gate right in time to board. Jake slept almost the entire time and I slept part of the time. We then arrived in Miami ready to get on our next flight when we found out we were delayed an hour. Flew over the big blue ocean once again and landed in San Jose. We planned on renting a car but the rate we found online turned out only to be a fraction of the real cost so we nixed that idea and decided to do the cheap local route.....buses.....
We were wisked onto the first bus hoping that it would take us to the right destination to catch a taxi to go catch another bus so we could start climbing the mountain the next day. Well our bus broke down so we followed the crowd onto another bus which we prayed was where we were suppose to be. We watched every stop wondering if that was where we were suppose to get off but you really couldn´t tell because the bus stops only had the bus route on them. We finally got to what we thought was our stop because almost everyone on our bus was getting off, we took that to be a good sign. We then got in a taxi to get to the bus station. Our taxi driver turned out to be such a blessing. He didn´t speak much english and we don´t speak much spanish but we all communicated just fine. He helped us into the station and showed us where we needed to pay and told us the bus that we were suppose to catch at 7pm only left at that time on Saturdays....bummer.....so we stayed at a hostel last night which was a whole new experience for me. Everyone shares the bathrooms and showers and they´re coed. I showered with my swimsuit on last night. Haha! i´m such a scaredy cat in public situations like that.
We decided we needed to get a little more acclimated before we climb the mountain so we are going on a rafting trip today. The rapids are suppose to be class III & IV. Which I hear are awesome!
This trip is officially go off the seat of your pants. All my tentative scheduling has gone down the drain because it was based on our rental car situtation which isn´t a option at this point of the game. I an ready to play and to relax. Bring on the fun!
